National Portfolio Day is an event for students who wish to pursue an education in the visual and related arts and design. It’s an opportunity to meet with representatives from 30+ colleges accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design. Representatives meet with students to review their artwork, discuss their programs, and answer questions about professional careers in art. The event is attended by high school students, parents, teachers, guidance counselors, and college transfer students.
All Portfolio Day events are free, open to the public. Learn more about The National Portfolio Day Association (NPDA) at portfolioday.net.
I was asked to design promotional materials and wayfinding signage for the regional event hosted by the Stamps School of Art & Design at the University of Michigan. The central piece to the event identity was the poster mailer that was sent out to high schools throughout the Midwest. The poster served as a framing divice to build out postcards, an email campaign, digital ads, thank you cards, t-shirts, and event wayfinding.
